The third action to create peaceful relationships is to Get to Know Your Energy!

This is so important for people with poor boundaries!

If you don’t know what your own energy feels like, how are you going to know when your boundaries are being crossed?

There are only two energies around you, your own energy and everything else. If you don’t know what your energy feels like, you won’t know when someone is draining you or when you are taking on others' energy.

Everything around us is made up of energy, so you are constantly interacting and connecting to energy.

If you have poor boundaries, you may absorb the energy around you easily, which means you are more likely to be affected by negative energy.

Your energy field is bombarded with energy from people, situations, TV, computers, electromagnetic waves etc. and the best way to know your energy is to keep your energy field and chakras clear.

Another way to become more conscious of your energy is to follow these steps:

  • Close your eyes
  • Take three deep breaths
  • Feel into your heart
  • Acknowledge your energy and feel into it
  • Make an intention that you are releasing all energy that is not yours
  • Visualize all the negative energy that is not yours going down into the earth where it is neutralized

Feel into your energy again. How does it feel?

Daily Exercise:

  • Feel your energy when you wake up in the morning before you interact with anyone or anything.
    • Take notice throughout the day when and how it changes
  • Daily breath work and meditation
  • Bubble yourself with a white light that surrounds and protects you, like the bubble around Glenda the good witch in The Wizard of Oz.
  • Do the Divine Love Meditation ​​​​​​​

This is just the beginning of your exploration of boundaries. Be gentle with yourself and others.

Boundaries are malleable, they are not supposed to be a brick wall but they should be clear to you. When you understand your energetic boundaries, they become clearer to others.
